We consider recyclability in our eco-design initiative by focusing on mono-material construction and minimizing spare parts. This enables resource recovery and ensures that our products are ready for a circular economy. We acknowledge the considerable challenges posed by differing regulations and recycling systems worldwide, and we are here to provide guidance and support to our clients in navigating these complexities.
Our recyclable products are made from a single material, such as PET plastic or aluminum, which can be easily processed in local recycling streams. When a secondary material is used as a formulation (e.g., a coating or additive), we design it to be consumed before recycling, ensuring the product remains recyclable. While some product categories may require multiple materials due to functional needs, we strive to optimize recyclability wherever possible.
We design with purpose, using mono-materials to make recycling straightforward and effective. Our plastic bottles feature removable pumps, so they can be fully cleaned and responsibly recycled. We are trying to innovate our pouches with closures that don’t require adding compositions and offering simple cotton totes. We are increasing the number of mono material beauty tools within our collections too.
Our totes and pouches? Pure cotton — built to be kind to the earth. Our beauty tools, like our single-material plastic combs, are designed for simplicity, ensuring they flow seamlessly into recycling streams.
We’re rethinking paper boxes and palettes skipping magnets, ribbons, and excess frills, to ensure we’re left with paper only, without compromising function. We also use just enough print to inform and inspire, steering clear of lamination to keep things recyclable!
By designing recyclable products, we’re aiming to reduce landfill waste and support local recycling systems. Our focus on mono-materials and minimal components ensures that our products can be easily recycled, contributing to a circular economy. Every recyclable product we create is a step toward a more sustainable future.
