Please note that Google’s policies are subject to change without notice to you.

EMAIL

We may collect and store your email address in two ways: (1) if and when you sign up for our email newsletter; (2) if and when you contact us through the contact form or by emailing one of our email addresses listed on the site. In both cases, your email is collected and stored.

(1) With respect to the newsletter, as you may anticipate, if you sign up by submitting your email, we may from time to time send marketing, promotional, or other email communications to you. We use Mailchimp Email Campaigns to manage our email newsletter. In this process, we and/or Mailchimp may collect certain information such as the date/time you first opened our e-mail communications, the number of times you open our e-mail communications, the number of click-throughs per article, total click-through activity on the contents of our e-mail communications and compile generally the related statistics. We and/or Mailchimp may combine and/or store any such information to manage and improve email communications to you.

In the newsletter emails we send out, we will include an option to unsubscribe if you decide you do not want to receive any future marketing or promotional emails from us. There will also be an option to update your email newsletter preferences (e.g., the email address that receives the newsletter). Once again, with regard to our use of Mailchimp’s software, we invite you to read their privacy policy. Please note that Mailchimp’s policies are subject to change without notice to you.

(2) With respect to the contact form, or direct emails, visitors, such as yourself, may voluntarily submit Personal Information – such as, but not limited to, your name and email address – to us for purposes such as asking a question or obtaining information. This information is collected to facilitate communication, and once collected, it is generally kept as long as necessary for record-keeping or future communication purposes.

INTERNET COMMUNICATION

Please note that Internet communications are vulnerable to interception, use, and/or alterations by persons other than the intended recipient. While we have implemented certain safeguards to reduce this risk, Internet transmissions to and from us (or anyone, really) are still vulnerable. If you choose to communicate by means of the Internet, you do so at your own risk.
